What is microneedling?
Microneedling helps renew and rejuvenate the skin by creating microchannels in the skin that stimulate the production of collagen, elastin, and other growth factors that help improve the density and quality of the skin. These microchannels are created with a medical device that contains multiple ultra-fine needles that penetrate the skin and stimulates the body’s natural healing process and help enhance the benefits of topical skincare products.
What is platelet-rich plasma/fibrin (PRP/PRF)?
Platelet-rich plasma or fibrin (PRP/PRF) is an autologous treatment, which means it is derived from the patient’s own body, that consists of high levels of platelets that help regenerate and repair damaged tissues and cellular structures. When used for aesthetic purposes, PRP/PRF can help increase collagen and improve the overall quality and health of the skin.

What can I expect during a treatment session?
PRP/PRF microneedling treatment sessions last about an hour. First, I will draw a small amount of the patient’s blood and place it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and create PRP/PRF. The PRP/PRF is then applied to the face and treated with microneedling, which allows the PRP/PRF to deeply penetrate the skin and maximizes the effects of both treatments. There is little to no downtime associated with this minimally invasive treatment and most of our patients are able to resume their normal routines immediately following a treatment session. Expect reddened skin for 1-2 days with natural (mild) sloughing of the uppermost layer of skin.
When will I see results?
You may begin to see an improvement in the tone of your skin within a few days of your PRP/PRF facial. The most visible results of this skin rejuvenation treatment usually develop within two to three months of your treatment session and can last for up to two years. Multiple treatment sessions may be required in order to achieve your desired aesthetic goals. Results may vary.
